Satori Status Update

You are probably wondering about a lot of things. Where are we going? What are we going to do and see? Well, we can reveal a few things?
First of all, we have found two supervisors who are very excited to accompany us during our trip. Dr. ir. Martin J. Bastiaans and dr. ing. Piet H.A. van der Putten will be those two. They will join us during the entire period of the study tour on all technical and cultural excursions.
But what is probably most interesting is to know a bit about what corporations we will visit in Japan. We are still talking with a lot of parties, but we have made agreements with even more. Omron has offered us a full day program in Kyoto to visit both their factory and their R&D center. In the Tokyo area you can expect companies such as NEC, Fujitsu Laboratories and the world renowned university Tokyo Institute of Technology. Also, we will be making a short stop in Nagoya to visit Toyota and in Osaka you can expect to at least see Mitsubishi Electric.
Plans are still being made to include companies that have been visited by Thor 20 years ago and also ones that you will probably never have heard of. Also we are making attempts to be able to visit a certain company with nostalgic value for all participants. Make sure you keep an eye on our website for more information.
